Back with books

Now that I have eased into 2015, it is time to put some of my new years goals into action. One is to rekindle and keep active a personal blog. You may have noticed some changes, such as the new name and layout, but 'Lily the Kite' has been around for a while on twitter and on a few other social networks (Ravelry, Pinterest, and Postcrossing), so it makes sense to be the new title for my blog.

I have been struggling with what to write about and how often to post, but during a family dog-walk it was agreed that I should be writing about books. Since I prefer creating pictures then words I've decided to post photos of book covers - one every day. This could be very challenging considering I work at a library and am surrounded with books everyday, but finding the most memorable cover for the day could be a fun project to share.

Day 1 - Moustache mania, inspired by "Knit your own Moustache" by Vicky Eames.

Everyone needs a disguise sometimes. Since finding this book I have had so much fun knitting moustaches, beards and eyepatches for my family. Sadly it has to be returned to the library tomorrow, but will hopefully be a enjoyed by someone else soon.
